My buddy Jerrod gave me a vintage Manco Dingo go-kart he bought brand new over a decade ago. It drove fine, but it was a single-seater and it was gonna be a few more years before my kids were old enough to drive it. Since he gave it to me, I didn't feel right about selling it, so I traded it for this little brush bike instead.

It's a 1984 Honda XR100, which is pretty much the VW beetle of the motorcycle world. With drum brakes, an air cooled 4-stroke, and very few moving parts it's pretty rugged, simple, and fun. The tweaker I traded with sort of stretched the truth regarding the bike. Although it may start with only a few kicks each time, the carb leaks like a sieve, the front and rear rims are a little dented like somebody hit a curb, and the tires are dry-rotted. Also, it looks like Tweaker Joe drove the thing with no air cleaner, so the cylinder walls are probably sort of hashed, although it doesn't really have any blowby.

I'm gonna order a carb gasket kit today and some new tires with tubes. Now I've got myself a fun little brush bike that's easy to fling around and simple/cheap enough that I don't have to care about it.
